Sarah & Gabes' tropical destination wedding at the Dreams Macao Beach resort in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic was a dream location. Dreams Macao is an incredibly family friendly resort with plenty for all ages to do, and the perfect location for them to say this vows. From their first look on the beautiful stairway to their amazing wedding reception with beautiful florals and decor on the rooftop that overlooks the resort and ocean the day was magical!
They also decided to have some golden hour photos taken on the beach the evening before their wedding day, right before their welcome dinner that was held in an amazing twinkle light studded grassy garden area.
Dreams Macao has multiple pools, little swim up bars, amazing restaurants and food trucks, along with a children's water park and waterslides for big kids of all ages too, and we can't forget the lazy river that is so relaxing to float the day away with a Pina colada!
From lush palms, a beautiful beach, and turquoise waters, this resort was the perfect location for Sarah and Gabes destination wedding!
When you're thinking about planning a destination wedding, it's always a great idea to have an amazing Travel Agent to help you along with every step of the way. I was very impressed with Romance Travel Group, they were very responsive and helped us with every question we had making it stress free and easy to plan, I personally worked with both Heather and Shelli and would recommend them to anyone!
Thinking about Eloping or hosting a Topical Destination Wedding?
There for sure is a lot to think about and plan when it comes to a wedding, at your home location or any destination! I would highly recommend a wedding at a beach location or anywhere tropical! I love the warmth and sun, the wind in the palm trees and the beautiful Caribbean waters. In Punta Cana, there are many options to chose from when looking for your resort! Dreams Macao let Sarah and Gabe bring along myself as their photographer, and there were no added vendor fees as I stayed as a guest at their resort. We did a "golden hour" session before their welcome dinner and got to chat more about their wedding day, the next day, and got some fun before the wedding photos by the ocean.
I arrived to the very spacious and beautifully decorated getting ready room, which is in the salon and spa area, to get all of the detail photos, and getting ready pictures of the bride.
Sarah and Gabe had their "first look" on the sprawling steps at the resort and then we walked all around for more photos of the two of them, before family photos and taking a few moments for some cold beverages before the ceremony.
Their ceremony was held on the private beach area all the way to the right side of the the resorts beach, which is amazing and has lots of space, chairs, cabanas, and views of palm trees and cliffs where the ocean waters crash into.
Following the ceremony we took photos of their family and friends at the beach, and then when the sun was a little lower, some wedding photos of just the bride and groom.
Sarah and Gabe held their reception dinner and celebration on the rooftop which over looks the ocean and has plenty of space for dinner and dancing.
The next day we went along with the wedding couple and their guests on a catamaran ride and adventure, which provided drinks and an amazing lunch, along with snorkeling and stops at a nearby beach!
We loved Dreams Macao Beach Resort in Punta Cana for this destination wedding, and vacation! There is a lot of space, many pools, swim up bars, and food trucks, also two water parks, one for little kids, and one for big ones including waterslides and a lazy river! The food was wonderful....and we enjoyed the coffee bar and ice cream as well! A great time for all, for people who enjoy entertainment at night and being with people, and for those who enjoy a private, quiet vacation as well.
