Some commonly asked questions & answers~
Why should we hire you for our photographer?
I have over 10 years of experience as a photographer, rain, shine, hail or high winds, I have you covered! I will treat you like my family, and help you with yours! I will help you put together a time line that fits your day and if hair + makeup is running late, don't worry, I am flexible and we will make sure to capture all of the important details on your wedding day! My top priority is to make sure my wedding couples have the best experience possible on their wedding day!
Do you edit all of the photos we receive?
Yes, each photo is edited by me, you will want them edited! I do not give out RAW files. How long does it take to receive our finished photos? Typically 8-10 weeks until the finished/edited gallery will be delivered to you via password protected gallery, however I do try to be sooner than that if possible!
Do we get print rights to our images?
Yes, you are welcome to download and print at your location choice, my website also has print options that are very affordable, and are sent right to your home.
How many images of our wedding day will we receive?
On average a 8 hour wedding day is around 700-900 images, but I do not limit the amount you receive. It really does depend on many things, the more time I have for photos, people who really love or don't love their photos being taken, ect....but I strive to deliver as many as I possibly can! The final edited gallery is delivered via emailed link 6-8 (or before!) weeks after your wedding day, you do receive a preview sooner than that!
Do you have backup equipment?
Yes, I always bring multiple camera bodies, lenses, flash, memory cards, batteries, ect.
We only want candid photos taken, can you do that?
Yes, I can, but you won't want that! Some "posed" photos are needed, however I for sure will get many pictures when you aren't "looking" at the camera! Pictures of you having fun and laughing will of course be included, but the timeless images of you looking at the camera with your family and friends will also be a treasure for you to share!
Can we give you a list of photos we would like taken?
For sure! I appreciate the list and ideas you will have for your family grouping pictures, other than that though, I don't really need one, and I will find it easier to be creative with out having to look back on a list through out the day. Please feel free to ask me at any time of the day if there is something special you would like a photo of or a photo with. I will be photographing moments that naturally occur during your wedding day and reception.
Can you "hold the date for us?"
I can! I do ask that a deposit it paid at the time of "booking", the remainder is due the week before your wedding day. To hold your date, a deposit is required along with my online agreement form, which is a short contract that you can review as well.
Do you travel?
Yes, travel fees most likely will apply if your wedding is outside of the Grand Rapids, Michigan area, as I need to cover my additional time and travel costs. I am happy to travel anywhere inside of Michigan, the USA, or world, as a destination wedding photographer I do have special rates and would love to work with you on custom quotes.
Do you photograph "small" weddings or elopements?
Yes, please contact me with your wedding day details and I am happy to customize a package for you. Please contact me about any other questions you may have, I am happy to help!
